Description
This is one of my mixed media translations of an old photograph. I really love the stories they tell and love to add texture, color and depth to slices of history. The original photo is from the library of congress and was most likely transferred over to the farm security administration from the office of war information also likely taken in 1939 and is of a woman working her garden in Puerto Rico. I finished this digitally in my art program so it is a nice large, clean print. Check out the close ups to see the brush strokes and different textures collaged together to make up this piece of history. Signed Byrnes in the bottom left.
